The carabiner itself is made of sturdy, durable plastic that features a stainless steel gate on one end and a rotating ridged cam mechanism on the other. Simply loop the bungee cord around the load you're bundling and pull the ends of the cord through the cam to adjust it to the desired tension. You can also clip the carabiner clips to two fixed points and adjust it to desired tension depending on your item.
